Survivor Holocaust film is a groundbreaking animated drama created by Zoom Rockman, based on Ivor Perl BEM’s first-hand testimony, Chicken Soup Under the Tree.

Rockman carefuly designed, hand-crafted and puppeteered every puppet, uniform, vehicle and prop using wire, sticks and split pins. He created the film on a multi-layered glass animation platform in his studio and filmed it in 4K on an iphone over 96days, completing the entire project within a year.

Every character in the film is based on historical photographic references, and the locations and events depicted were meticulously researched and verified to ensure historical accuracy.

Through this unique visual language, Survivor brings to life the experiences of Ivor Perl, who arrived at Auschwitz at the age of twelve and endured a series of concentration camps before liberation at Dachau.
