Activity 5:5

Loss of Identity and Auschwitz

Witnessing the Holocaust

Ivor witnessed some terrible things from the moment he arrived.

In one scene he is told by another prisoner that the smoke billowing from the Chimneys is coming from a bakery.

Do you think Ivor believed this?

Why do you think the man told him this?

Take a look at the reference photograph for this man.

Why do you think Zoom Rockman included his great uncle in this scene?
