J’Accuse! Holocaust documentary, A Cry from the Killing Pits of Lithuania is a powerful documentary directed by Michael D. Kretzmer examining one of the most devastating and contested chapters of Holocaust history.

During the Second World War, more than 220,000 Lithuanian Jews — the vast majority of the country’s Jewish population — were murdered.
The film follows two campaigners seeking justice and historical truth: Grant Gochin, whose family members were murdered during the Holocaust, and Silvia Foti, the granddaughter of Lithuanian nationalist Jonas Noreika, who has long been celebrated as a national hero despite his role in the persecution and murder of Jews.

Through their efforts to challenge historical distortion and confront Lithuania’s legacy of Holocaust denial, the film explores the difficult struggle between national memory, historical truth and justice for the victims.
